Hello there! My name is Asia and welcome to Yarn Fixation!

So a little bit about me, I am a married mother of 4 furbabies (2 chihuahuas: Napah and Quinn, and 2 cats: Midori and Maya). My husband, Josue, knows how much I love crafting and he always encourages me to learn new things and he also tells me to share what I know with other people.

It is in this spirit that I decided to start this blog.

I hope that you can learn some stuff from me and I’m hoping to learn a lot along the way as well.

I decided that I wanted to learn to crochet when I was in elementary school and my mom was crocheting a blue jean rug and I thought it was the coolest thing I had ever seen. So after some begging she went and bought me a lovely ball of yarn, hook, and a book that showed the basic stitches. I wanted to make a blanket, of course and because it was the only stitch I knew, it was going to be a single crochet blanket. I gave up on that venture after struggling with it but I always ended up coming back to crochet.

So here I am, crocheting along, (making smarter choices than never-ending blankets), while also attempting to learn shuttle tatting and knitting. I hope you will join me on this adventure and hopefully we can learn some fun crafty things together!
